No, \( (\log(z)^2 - \log(z)) = \log(z)(\log(z)-1) \)
but \( (\log(z^2) - \log(z)) = \log(z) \).

Do not confuse \( \log(z)^2 \) and \( \log(z^2) \), they are two completely different functions.
